Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gao Qipei could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Chinese Works of Art Online auction, the work Eagle on Pine changed hands for USD 573.75 (€ 508.33) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Qipei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fish in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,165,000.00 (€ 591,132.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gao Qipei konnte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Chinese Works of Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Eagle on Pine für USD 573,75 (€ 508,33) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Qipei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fish im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.165.000,00 (€ 591.132,84).
