In November 2021 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Flowers by Gai Qi. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 456,000.00 (€ 50,702.58), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gai Qi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work literati elegant gathering, which sold at auction in October 2021 for HKD 1,197,000.00 (€ 133,149.67).

Im November 2021 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers von Gai Qi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 456.000,00 (€ 50.702,58) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gai Qi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit literati elegant gathering beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für HKD 1.197.000,00 (€ 133.149,67) versteigert wurde.
