Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Le Vieux Port, St Tropez by Gabriel Deschamps was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,377.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gabriel Deschamps - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Panorame D'Eze, which sold at auction in February 2009 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,897.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Le Vieux Port, St Tropez von Gabriel Deschamps wurde im Dezember 2007 in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 2.377,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Gabriel Deschamps mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Panorame D'Eze beobachtet, die im Februar 2009 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.897,65) versteigert wurde.
