Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2010 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction 19th Century Paintings & Contemporary Art, which included the work German an Interesting Story by Fritz Wagner. The price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fritz Wagner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Literary Gathering, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,120.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2010 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion 19th Century Paintings & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit German an Interesting Story von Fritz Wagner zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fritz Wagner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Literary Gathering beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.120,19) versteigert wurde.
