Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work The card players by Fritz Wagner. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,918.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fritz Wagner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Literary Gathering, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 23,120.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The card players von Fritz Wagner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.918,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fritz Wagner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Literary Gathering beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 15.600,00 (€ 23.120,19) versteigert wurde.
