Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frits Klein could be acquired at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS auction, the work Figures and dog changed hands for NLG 2,340.40 (€ 1,078.70) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of NLG 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frits Klein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 12,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frits Klein konnte im September 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion PICTURES WATERCOLOURS DRAWINGS AND COPIES AFTER OLD MASTERS wechselte die Arbeit Figures and dog für NLG 2.340,40 (€ 1.078,70) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von NLG 2.500,00 – 3.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frits Klein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maternité: the artist's wife Marie Raymond and their son Yves Klein im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 12.500,00.
