The work Halcyon by Friedel Dzubas was sold in the Post-War to Present auction at Christies in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 69,300.00 (€ 63,741.72), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Admittedly, works by Friedel Dzubas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 287,026.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Halcyon von Friedel Dzubas wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War to Present bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 69.300,00 (€ 63.741,72) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Friedel Dzubas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 325.000,00 (€ 287.026,41).
