Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Louvre from the Seine, Paris by Frederick Nash was sold in the British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours auction at Christies in London in January 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,495.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Nash have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Tothill Street with Westminster Abbey beyond; and View of Gracechurch Street with the Monument and the church of St. Magnus the Martyr beyond in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,636.18).

Die Arbeit The Louvre from the Seine, Paris von Frederick Nash wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures and Watercolours bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.020,00 (€ 1.495,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Nash auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of Tothill Street with Westminster Abbey beyond; and View of Gracechurch Street with the Monument and the church of St. Magnus the Martyr beyond im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.636,18).
