Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Christies in London held the auction 300 Years Of British Drawings, which included the work The Wine Market, and Pont Tournelle, with the Cathedral of Notre Dame in the distance, Paris by Frederick Nash. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,283.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Frederick Nash have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2008 the work View of Tothill Street with Westminster Abbey beyond; and View of Gracechurch Street with the Monument and the church of St. Magnus the Martyr beyond was auctioned for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,636.18).
