This work of art by Frederick Nash could be acquired at Christies in London in March 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work Market day before Rouen Cathedral changed hands for GBP 937.50 (€ 1,060.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Nash have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of Tothill Street with Westminster Abbey beyond; and View of Gracechurch Street with the Monument and the church of St. Magnus the Martyr beyond in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,636.18).
