Sold at the lower estimate price

In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Drawings and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Two studies of the Boulevard des Italiens, Paris by Frederick Nash. The result of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,753.74) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Nash - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of Tothill Street with Westminster Abbey beyond; and View of Gracechurch Street with the Monument and the church of St. Magnus the Martyr beyond, which sold at auction in June 2008 for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,636.18).
