This artwork by Frederick Mulhaupt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Beverly Hills in November 2004. In the CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS auction, the work At The Guinea Wharf, Gloucester, Massachusetts sold for USD 33,460.00 (€ 25,235.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Mulhaupt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The White Schooner in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 132,419.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Mulhaupt erzielte im November 2004 bei Christies in Beverly Hills einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit At The Guinea Wharf, Gloucester, Massachusetts für USD 33.460,00 (€ 25.235,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Mulhaupt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The White Schooner im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 168.000,00 (€ 132.419,01).
