In the CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS auction, the work At The Guinea Wharf, Gloucester, Massachusetts sold for USD 33,460.00 (€ 25,235.69) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Mulhaupt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The White Schooner in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 168,000.00 (€ 132,419.01).
