Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Westminster Abbey, South Aisle and into Nave, 1911 by Frederick H. Evans was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in New York in October 2015. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,056.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick H. Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'A Sea Of Steps', Wells Cathedral, Steps To Chapter House, 1903 in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 233,000.00 (€ 171,399.15).
