Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frederick Edward McWilliam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2017. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Study Father And Daughter sold for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,470.34) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick Edward McWilliam have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Woodhenge in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 254,005.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Edward McWilliam erzielte im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art wurde die Arbeit Study Father And Daughter für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.470,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Edward McWilliam auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Woodhenge im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 254.005,80).
