This artwork by Frederick Edward McWilliam achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2021. In the Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale auction, the work Two Figures sold for GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,011.71) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Edward McWilliam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodhenge in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 254,005.80).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Edward McWilliam erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Post War British Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Two Figures für GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.011,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Edward McWilliam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woodhenge im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 254.005,80).
