Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maquette For Elisabeth Frink by Frederick Edward McWilliam was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 5,896.42) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Edward McWilliam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodhenge in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 254,005.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maquette For Elisabeth Frink von Frederick Edward McWilliam kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 5.896,42) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Edward McWilliam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woodhenge im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 254.005,80).
