Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Made in Britain, which included the work Birdwatcher Iii by Frederick Edward McWilliam. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,654.75), 17% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Edward McWilliam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodhenge in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 254,005.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Made in Britain durch, in der auch die Arbeit Birdwatcher Iii von Frederick Edward McWilliam zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.654,75) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Edward McWilliam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Woodhenge im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 224.750,00 (€ 254.005,80).
