Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Studio by Fred Cuming. The price achieved of GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,061.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Cuming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Setting Sun Across the Bay, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,478.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Studio von Fred Cuming zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.061,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Cuming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Setting Sun Across the Bay beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.478,79) versteigert wurde.
