Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Whitby Harbour by Fred Cuming was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,824.47). Admittedly, works by Fred Cuming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Setting Sun Across the Bay in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 8,925.00 (€ 10,478.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Whitby Harbour von Fred Cuming wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.824,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fred Cuming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Setting Sun Across the Bay im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.925,00 (€ 10.478,79).
