This artwork by Fred Dalkey achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2021. In the Fields of Vision: The Private Collection of Artists Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason Online Sale auction, the work Tabitha With Hand On Hip sold for USD 1,125.00 (€ 922.58) - well above the upper estimate of USD 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Dalkey - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Driving Down 4th Avenue, which sold at auction in August this year for USD 2,816.00 (€ 2,598.03).

Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Dalkey erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fields of Vision: The Private Collection of Artists Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason Online Sale wurde die Arbeit Tabitha With Hand On Hip für USD 1.125,00 (€ 922,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Dalkey mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Driving Down 4th Avenue beobachtet, die im August diesen Jahres für USD 2.816,00 (€ 2.598,03) versteigert wurde.
