A top price for Fred Dalkey - as previously expected
The work Driving Down 4th Avenue by Fred Dalkey was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 2,816.00 (€ 2,598.03) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Driving Down 4th Avenue is the most expensive artwork by Fred Dalkey that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Driving Down 4th Avenue von Fred Dalkey kam im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 2.816,00 (€ 2.598,03) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Driving Down 4th Avenue das teuerste Kunstwerk von Fred Dalkey, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
