Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work 'Astor Theater, Times Square' (The Champ) by Fred Zinnemann for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,928.24). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Fred Zinnemann have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2010 by the work Pepsodent, Times Square, New York, November at USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,638.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 'Astor Theater, Times Square' (The Champ) von Fred Zinnemann für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.928,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Fred Zinnemann wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2010 die Arbeit Pepsodent, Times Square, New York, November mit USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.638,25).
