This artwork by Fred Uhlman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2011. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Welsh Cottages sold for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 4,590.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Uhlman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portmerion Bay, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,583.24).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Uhlman erzielte im Juli 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Welsh Cottages für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 4.590,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Uhlman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portmerion Bay beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.583,24) versteigert wurde.
