Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year Bonhams held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work The Skyscraper by Fred Uhlman. The price achieved of GBP 2,805.00 (€ 3,191.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Uhlman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portmerion Bay, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,583.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Skyscraper von Fred Uhlman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.805,00 (€ 3.191,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Uhlman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portmerion Bay beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.583,24) versteigert wurde.
