This artwork by Fred Uhlman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in September 2020. In the Modern British and Irish Art auction, the work Windmill sold for GBP 3,562.50 (€ 3,928.24) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fred Uhlman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portmerion Bay, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,583.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 78 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Uhlman erzielte im September 2020 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Windmill für GBP 3.562,50 (€ 3.928,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Fred Uhlman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portmerion Bay beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.583,24) versteigert wurde.
