Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fred Tomaselli achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September 2021. In the New Now auction, the work Worm, Warp, and Woof #1 sold for USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,767.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Tomaselli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Organism in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 735,650.00 (€ 914,651.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fred Tomaselli erzielte im September 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Worm, Warp, and Woof #1 für USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.767,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Tomaselli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Organism im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 735.650,00 (€ 914.651,73).
