In February this year Bonhams held the auction Vintage Posters Online, which included the work Durham, Lner by Fred Taylor. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 956.25 (€ 1,090.73), 37% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Fred Taylor have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work British Hong Kong in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,763.16).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 37 % übertroffen
Im Februar diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Vintage Posters Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Durham, Lner von Fred Taylor zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 956,25 (€ 1.090,73) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fred Taylor auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit British Hong Kong im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.763,16).
