Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled: Fifteen Paintings by Franziska Holstein was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,729.93). Other works by Franziska Holstein have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2017 by the work Untitled: Fifteen Paintings at GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,937.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled: Fifteen Paintings von Franziska Holstein im Juli 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.729,93) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Franziska Holstein wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im April 2017 die Arbeit Untitled: Fifteen Paintings mit GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.937,59).
