In June 2019 VAN HAM held the auction Discoveries, which included the work Ex libris Josefine Eleonore Bamann. by Franz Wilhelm Seiwert. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 903.00 51% above the estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Wilhelm Seiwert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Wandbild für einen Fotografen“. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,225,000.00.
Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2019 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Discoveries durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ex libris Josefine Eleonore Bamann. von Franz Wilhelm Seiwert zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 903,00 und damit 51% über dem Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Wilhelm Seiwert erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Wandbild für einen Fotografen“. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.225.000,00.
