Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 5,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Wilhelm Seiwert achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Wandbild für einen Fotografen“. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 1,225,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit „Der Betriebsrat“. von Franz Wilhelm Seiwert wurde im Juni 2021 in der Auktion Sommer 2021 - Sander Collection bei Grisebach versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Wilhelm Seiwert erzielen.
