In December 2013 Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects, which included the work La coppia by Franz Borghese. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,300.00 44% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Franz Borghese have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Personaggi in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 10,540.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 44 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2013 führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art | Silver and Decorative Objects durch, in der auch die Arbeit La coppia von Franz Borghese zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.300,00 und damit 44% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Borghese auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Personaggi im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.540,00.
