In December 2018 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Transit by Franz Ackermann. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 43,750.00 (€ 48,741.38), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Franz Ackermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work b2 barbeque with the duke in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 299,200.00 (€ 440,056.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Transit von Franz Ackermann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 48.741,38) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Ackermann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit b2 barbeque with the duke im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 299.200,00 (€ 440.056,08).
