In April 2021 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Rupalee: former cultural center by Franz Ackermann. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 52,920.00 (€ 60,873.40), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Franz Ackermann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work b2 barbeque with the duke in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 299,200.00 (€ 440,056.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im April 2021 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rupalee: former cultural center von Franz Ackermann zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 52.920,00 (€ 60.873,40) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Ackermann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit b2 barbeque with the duke im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 299.200,00 (€ 440.056,08).
