Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Franz Ackermann could be acquired at Phillips in New York in July 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work evasion XVIII (a building with one window lifted) changed hands for USD 27,500.00 (€ 23,356.55) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Ackermann achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work b2 barbeque with the duke in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 299,200.00 (€ 440,056.08).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Franz Ackermann konnte im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th c. & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wechselte die Arbeit evasion XVIII (a building with one window lifted) für USD 27.500,00 (€ 23.356,55) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Ackermann erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit b2 barbeque with the duke im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 299.200,00 (€ 440.056,08).
