In November this year Christies in London held the auction 20th Century Evening Sale, which included the work Composition triangulaire by František Kupka. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,132,000.00 (€ 4,704,803.81), 71% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by František Kupka; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) sold at auction in March 2021 with the realized price of GBP 7,551,600.00 (€ 8,871,184.71).

Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition triangulaire von František Kupka zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.132.000,00 (€ 4.704.803,81) und damit 71% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von František Kupka; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Le Jaillissement II (Tryskání II) im März 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 7.551.600,00 (€ 8.871.184,71).
