Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stadt 12/28 (Berlin), 2005 by Frank Thiel was sold in the First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in July 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,984.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Thiel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Die Alliierten“. in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Stadt 12/28 (Berlin), 2005 von Frank Thiel wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion First Open | Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.984,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Thiel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Die Alliierten“. im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
