Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frank Stella achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in September last year. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Olyka (III), from Paper Relief Project sold for USD 17,850.00 (€ 18,245.94) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Stella achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Point Of Pines in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 28,082,500.00 (€ 25,188,357.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Stella erzielte im September letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Olyka (III), from Paper Relief Project für USD 17.850,00 (€ 18.245,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Stella erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Point Of Pines im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.082.500,00 (€ 25.188.357,70).
