A top price for Frank Stella - as previously expected
The work Point Of Pines by Frank Stella was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 28,082,500.00 (€ 25,188,357.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000,000.00 – 35,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Point Of Pines is the most expensive artwork by Frank Stella that we have observed at auctions so far.
