Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Weighing the catch by Frank Moss Bennett was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,673.49) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Moss Bennett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The King'S Arms in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 75,250.00 (€ 125,005.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Weighing the catch von Frank Moss Bennett kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.673,49) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Moss Bennett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The King'S Arms im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.250,00 (€ 125.005,22).
