In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Scholars taking tea by Frank Moss Bennett. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,267.48), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Moss Bennett achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The King'S Arms in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 75,250.00 (€ 125,005.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scholars taking tea von Frank Moss Bennett zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.267,48) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Moss Bennett erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The King'S Arms im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.250,00 (€ 125.005,22).
