This artwork by Frank Moss Bennett achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in March last year. In the British and European Art auction, the work A hearty lunch sold for GBP 15,250.00 (€ 18,080.59) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Moss Bennett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The King'S Arms in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 75,250.00 (€ 125,005.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 91 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frank Moss Bennett erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art wurde die Arbeit A hearty lunch für GBP 15.250,00 (€ 18.080,59) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Moss Bennett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The King'S Arms im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 75.250,00 (€ 125.005,22).
