Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Signpost At Sunset), C. 1890 by Frank Meadow Sutcliffe was sold in the Photographs auction at Christies in London in October 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,625.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Meadow Sutcliffe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scenes of Whitby, 1880S in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,474.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Signpost At Sunset), C. 1890 von Frank Meadow Sutcliffe wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.625,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Meadow Sutcliffe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scenes of Whitby, 1880S im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.474,26).
