This artwork by Frank Egginton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2006. In the The 10th Anniversary Irish Sale auction, the work Interior of An Irish Cottage sold for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,758.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frank Egginton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal sold at auction in May 2001 with the realized price of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,819.49).
