Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 3,840.00 (€ 5,605.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Egginton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,819.49).
