Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Killary Harbour, Connemara by Frank Egginton was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2006. The price achieved of GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,328.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Egginton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,819.49).

Die Arbeit Killary Harbour, Connemara von Frank Egginton kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.328,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Egginton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sheephaven and Melmore Head, from Horn Head, Co. Donegal beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.819,49) versteigert wurde.
