In November 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Important American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Venetian Fruit Market by Frank Duveneck. The price achieved of USD 385,000.00 (€ 262,118.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00. Other works by Frank Duveneck have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2001 the work The Florentine Girl was auctioned for USD 248,000.00 (€ 293,317.56).
