This artwork by François Meuret achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady, Probably Marie Charlotte, Marquise De Bonneval, Née De Segur (1810-1883), Circa 1840 sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,250.18) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by François Meuret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Robert Arthur De Acres, Marquis De L'Aigle (1843-1931) in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,182.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von François Meuret erzielte im Dezember 2019 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Probably Marie Charlotte, Marquise De Bonneval, Née De Segur (1810-1883), Circa 1840 für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.250,18) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Meuret auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Robert Arthur De Acres, Marquis De L'Aigle (1843-1931) im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.182,56).
