Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Natura Morta Con Birillo by Franco Gentilini for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,746.33). This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Franco Gentilini have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ragazza con ventaglio in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 84,600,000.00 (€ 77,846.79).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Natura Morta Con Birillo von Franco Gentilini für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.746,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Including Russian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franco Gentilini auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ragazza con ventaglio im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 84.600.000,00 (€ 77.846,79).
