Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Banchetto davanti al palazzo by Franco Gentilini was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Il Ponte in December 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,500.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franco Gentilini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ragazza con ventaglio in November 2000 with an auction result of ITL 84,600,000.00 (€ 77,846.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Banchetto davanti al palazzo von Franco Gentilini wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Il Ponte versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.500,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franco Gentilini erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ragazza con ventaglio im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 84.600.000,00 (€ 77.846,79).
