Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work New York, 1986 by Franco Fontana was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. It achieved a price of EUR 3,528.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18 %. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franco Fontana - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Piscina - 1984, which sold at auction in December 2016 for EUR 8,060.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit New York, 1986 von Franco Fontana kam im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 3.528,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18 %. Für andere Arbeiten von Franco Fontana mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Piscina - 1984 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2016 für EUR 8.060,00 versteigert wurde.
